My Eye – Bye-bye Election Fatigue!
The more observant among you might have noticed that we’ve gone to the polls rather a lot in Northern Ireland recently.
In the past year alone we’ve voted in two Assembly Elections (with Sinn Féin already calling for a third) and a referendum. And, with the dissolution of Parliament yesterday, we are due to go to the polls again for a snap General Election on June 8.
Crushed under the weight of so many polls and elections, the people of Northern Ireland are starting to exhibit a dreadful malaise – election fatigue!
Doctors say the symptoms of this condition include generalised nausea, a dull ache in the ballot-ticking hand, and difficulty remembering the key events of electoral campaigns.
Luckily, Chambré’s apothecarists have just the tincture – a daily digest of all the the previous day’s electoral goings-on, relating to Northern Ireland.
Our new Election Alert Bulletin will include links to the big news stories and political analysis prepared by our crack team of political anoraks. We’ll even include an up-to-date list of all the candidates standing in NI’s 18 constituencies.
It’ll be sent straight to your inbox every weekday morning. Best of all, it’s absolutely free!
So keep an eye out for our bulletin tomorrow morning – 9/10 doctors recommend taking one dose daily!
